SNAIL MAIL

I'm a sucker for a good old fashioned snail mail delivery, and Christmas cards were the perfect excuse to make the envelopes extra pretty. (Although doubtful that more than a handful of mine made it to their recipients before the big day... oops.)

FELIZ NAVIDAD

It was time to gather the crew to celebrate the holidays, and given new corporate limits on holiday dinners (wahhh), we settled on a local Mexican spot. Economical and delicious.

I took over with table decor - buying Amazon out of paper flowers and pinatas and adorable tiny maracas to accompany custom place cards.

Table decor + several margaritas = team holiday party success.

GIVEAWAY

I try, but I never win anything. So given the spirit of the season and all that, I figured maybe if I did my own giveaway I would feel sort of like a winner. So here it is (and I promise not to choose myself):

UP FOR GRABS:

(1) Tombow 96 Dual Brush Set

HOW TO WIN:

1. Follow @motproblems on Instagram

2. Tag three friends who'd be into winning

Contest ends at 11:59PM EST on December 24, 2016. Winner will be notified via DM and announced within a comment to the original giveaway post. Entrants must be 18 or older to participate and must have a US mailing address. Contest is not associated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Instagram.

GOOD LUCK.

PUMPKIN EVERYTHING

I love fall, but it makes me feel as if I am the only person in the world that's not a fan of pumpkin everything. I don't bake it in my pies and I certainly don't drink it in my coffee, but I am not opposed to putting them to use within a tablescape.

When a friend asked for help with an autumn themed baby shower, simple tags from Michael's personalized with white ink and tied to mini pumpkins made the perfect addition to her table.

BROOKLYN BIRTHDAY

I have to admit I have champagne taste and a beer budget, so in honor of this year's birthday I decided to juxtapose all my high class and low class favs with a rooftop pizza party at my new Brooklyn address. We paired several local pizzerias with dressed up McDonald's french fries and washed it all down with end of summer rose. A custom illustrated menu and place cards topped off the tablescape of grocery store bought flowers.

The best part of all was the gathering of all my favorite people with a conveniently particularly epic skyline sunset.
